[Product Description]
Levi's(R) Vintage Clothing 1950's 701(R) is the first five-pocket jeans made for women. It was launched in 1939, and an advertisement featuring it in a tourist ranch was featured in Vogue magazine. Like the 501(R) jeans of the time, the early design of the 701(R) featured a cinch back, a curved top block, and wide straight legs. By the 1950s, the cinch back had disappeared, but the unique high-waisted fit remained. Instead of the traditional red stitching, distinctive selvedge stitching is done with pink thread, creating jeans faithful to the original design. It also uses a Talon zipper, manufactured since 1893, which was also used in the original. It features spade-shaped back pockets, hidden rivets on the back pockets, and the Levi's red tab, which is a symbol of Levi's. The waistline is around the hips. It has straight legs that fit straight from the hips to the thighs.
