Natural Citrine, left untreated, is a rarity in the gem world. This transparent yellow variety of Quartz ranges from pale to golden yellow, honey, or even almost brown, often displaying rainbows or mineral inclusions.
The presence of lithium contributes to variations in hue; lower lithium content yields a brighter yellow, while higher levels result in darker tones. Untreated Smokey Quartz is highly prized by serious mineral collectors.
