Two vintage hyacinth bulb vases made by Danish glassworks, Holmegaard Kastrup

These vases are often referred to as "Old Danish" hyacinth glasses and were designed in 1924, though production continued for decades. The design is a classic Danish style produced by both Holmegaard and Kastrup glassworks; the sticker on the front says both company names. These squat, rounded bottles with a narrow neck are specifically designed for forcing hyacinth, tulip, and other flower bulbs to bloom indoors.
The vases are made of mouth-blown green glass. The style suggests a mid-century modern period, likely from the 1960s or 1970s. Price is for both, but will sell separately. Approx 4.5" tall x 3.5".
