Vintage garrison cap, also known as an "over seas" cap was introduced in 1943 as the 2nd official hat of the BSA, after the campaign hat. Worn through the 1940's - 1970's following the widespread use by the US Army during WWII.
To receive the Order of the Arrow bolo tie you must be a captain and it requires a special ceremony. This one features the emblem for lodge 489, which was chartered in 1953 in the Longhorn Council of BSA.
The ring is sterling, size US 4.75.
