Up for auction is a beautiful example of vintage American treenware. This hand-turned wooden canister was originally designed as a tobacco humidor, featuring a classic barrel shape and a precision-fitted lid with a decorative concentric finial.
Craftsmanship: Individually lathe-turned with visible centering marks on the base and interior, showing true artisan quality.
Humidor Details: The underside of the lid features traditional humidifier mounting holes, and the interior wood has seasoned to a deep, dark tone from historical use.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wood has a rich, warm patina. There is minor surface wear consistent with age, particularly around the lid rim, which adds to its authentic antique charm.
