Rare Vintage RS Made in Japan Lusterware Covered Sugar Bowl - Sunburst Mark
This is an exquisite piece of early 20th-century Japanese export porcelain, featuring the highly collectible red sunburst mark with "RS Made in Japan" (used circa 1920s-1940s). The porcelain is finished with a vibrant, blue iridescent luster glaze that catches the light with shifting shades of periwinkle, lavender, and cobalt blue. The bowl is hand-decorated with a stylized, impressionistic tree landscape, featuring dark blue elements and white/pink blossoms. Hight from top of lid to bottom approx. 7" width approx. 3". Reflects the bold colors and stylized motifs of the Art Deco period (Taisho/Early Showa).
